The façades most shops won't touch.
Ventilated façades and exterior porcelain cladding are the most demanding application in the trade — and the one that sets Prime Surfaces apart. We design-assist, fabricate, and install them on residential and commercial buildings across the Southeast.

Why so few shops do this well
Cladding the outside of a building in large-format porcelain combines everything that's hard about the material — huge, thin, fragile panels — with everything that's hard about construction: structural anchoring, weatherproofing, thermal performance, and tolerances measured across entire elevations. It's real installation work, done on lifts and swing stages, not a countertop drop-off.
Prime Surfaces has taken ventilated façades from drawings to finished building — from the W Peachtree tower in Atlanta to the completed SunTrust bank façade in Cocoa, Florida. We bring the certified porcelain expertise and the exterior-systems know-how to do it right the first time.

Questions architects & builders ask
What is a ventilated façade?
A ventilated (or rainscreen) façade is an exterior cladding system where large-format porcelain or stone panels are mounted on a sub-structure with an air gap between the panel and the building's insulation. That gap improves thermal performance and moisture control while giving the building a seamless, high-end finish. It's a demanding system to engineer and install correctly.
Why use large-format porcelain on a façade?
Porcelain is UV-stable, freeze-thaw stable, extremely low-maintenance, and available in very large, thin panels — so it delivers the look of natural stone cladding with less weight and virtually no fading or staining over time. It's purpose-built for exterior use.
Does Prime Surfaces install commercial façades?
Yes. Ventilated façades and exterior cladding are a core specialty. We've installed completed ventilated-façade projects (including a SunTrust bank in Cocoa, Florida) and work on commercial and multi-family exteriors across the Southeast.
Can you work from an architect's or GC's drawings?
Yes — we regularly design-assist and install from architect and general-contractor documents, and we offer install-only service for builders who self-source material. See our Builders & Trade page.
Have a façade or cladding project?
Send us the elevations or drawings and we'll take it from there.
